Following a career in artist management in the music business, Julie went looking for the next thing to do with her life: something artistic, interesting, and adrenalin charged. Production Design and Set Decoration filled the bill.
After earning her BA in Motion Picture/TV production from UCLA, it did not take long for Julie to become known for her versatility. She could transition from the production design of Underwater Sea Bases and Space Stations to set decorating the chilling world of Charles Mansion in Helter Skelter.
A broad scope of imagination is key to her projects. On any one day, sets may range from the steamy fantasy of Lucifer’s Underworld Lair to the interior of a billionaire’s private jet. Her sets can vary from fantastically bold and whimsical, to technically accurate down to the finest detail.
Julie knows that the magic in any set is the way everyday items combine into something unique and character defining. A set comes to life with the very top layer of detail, when the ordinary becomes the extraordinary. Give Julie one sentence to describe the space, and she’ll give you a world where you can believe the story happens.
